To load VSAM source
Restriction: This topic applies only when the AppMaster Builder AddPack has been installed, and applies only to Windows platforms.
- In the Data View Explorer of the AppMaster Builder perspective, right-click a VSAM source under the
VSAM Source files node and select
Add.
- Do one of the following:
- To create a new source file to load, type the name of the new file into the
Name field and click
OK. This creates the source file in the Data View explorer, double-click the file name in the Data View Explorer, then continue with step
4.
- To edit an existing source file to load, double-click a source name in the Data View Explorer, then continue with step
4.
- To load an existing source file without making changes, continue with step
6.
- Code the source file using the conventions described in
Coding VSAM DDI Statements.
- Save the source file and exit the editor.
- On the list of sources on the left of the dialog box, click the name of the source file you want to load.
- Click
Load.
- If you want to load additional VSAM source, repeat steps
3 through
7.
- Click
Build List.
- From the drop-down list, click
<All> to build all of the VSAM source you've loaded; or, click the VSAM source name you want to load.
- Click
Build.
- Click
OK.
- Click
OK to close the Load/Build Data Views dialog box.
- In the
Data View Manager, click
Options >
Refresh.
