IMS Screen Tutorial

This tutorial takes you step by step through the process of using the Enterprise Developer Interface Mapper, and Enterprise Server to create a Web services service interface from an IMS application, run the service, and interact with it.

Prerequisites

This tutorial requires the following to be complete before commencing:

  • Installation of an advanced edition of Visual Studio. You cannot complete this tutorial using the Visual Studio Shell.
  • Because this tutorial begins where the IMS tutorial left off, using the same MFDEMO application, IMSTutorial project, and IMSDEMO enterprise server region, you must complete the IMS tutorial in its entirety before starting this tutorial. This tutorial also relies on the updates made to the IMS database when running the MFDEMO application. See Tutorial: IMS for complete instructions.
